Ingredients:
Falafel : 3/4 cup boiled chickpeas (white chana)
1Tsp sesame seeds 2 Tsp chopped coriander and green chilies
1/2 chopped onion
jeera powder 1/4tsp
salt and red chilly powder
Hummus : 1/2 cup chickpeas
2tsp sesame seeds
2tsp extra virgin olive oil
1tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
Recipe:
- For falafel, mash chickpeas and add all the ingredients together
- make round balls or flat cutlets out of mixture
- heat pan/ tawa and cook these balls in 1tsp oil.
- serve hot with hummus.
- For Hummus,
- blend sesame seeds with olive oil with lemon juice in a mixer till it becomes smooth paste
- add chickpeas and chickpea boiled water and blend it again till it gets smooth consistency.
- Serve chilled with hot falafel
